It is fair to say that September was rich in events. So many „little things“ still had to be settled or clarified. Farewells here and there and in between always packing, packing, packing. In the end we sat on countless moving boxes, had a coffee machine and a bed. But after this experience we have to say that it really goes without problems. You don’t miss all this stuff after only a few days.
On September 15th, the notarial act for our house in France took place. At 11 o’clock we got the news from France that the signatures had been set and the ink had dried. Again we could take something from our list.
Around the 20th of September we contacted the forwarding agent we had commissioned – as agreed – to find out the collection date for our furniture and all the stuff. The date was set for the 23rd of September, 8 a.m. Great, my birthday, what a great gift. I didn’t have that yet either, a nice big truck!

To be honest, the moment the truck arrived, a special feeling crept over us for the first time. We became more aware than before that something special was going on here, which goes far beyond a normal holiday. Besides, it was now only one week until we were supposed to leave. Very special this feeling and actually difficult to describe. But this is how we had wanted it and this is how it finally happened.

On the picture to the left you can see exactly what we „had left“ after the departure of the carrier. Two camping chairs and a small camping table from our van. Dear neighbours took care of us and cooked for us afterwards. That was really good, there are nice people too!
