INTRODUCTION

We, that is Karina and Peter from North Rhine-Westphalia. This blog is dedicated to the realization of our dream to record the chronology of events for us.

But we also want to share our joy and euphoria with you out there. Maybe it will inspire you to live your dream.

The idea of buying or building a house in Portugal has been around for a few years. The final decision to take this step came as suddenly as a flash of inspiration. From this decisive moment, we both knew that there was no going back.

A few years earlier we had already fulfilled our dream of a house in Mediterranean climes. Back then, we got stuck in a small village in the southern French Corbières. At first it was thought to be a permanent place to stay for our holidays, but then it soon became a second home with stays of partly several months.

But as it is known that there are always two hearts beating in one breast, we never completely lost our love to the Atlantic Ocean and to Portugal. So we said to ourselves: „give your feeling a voice and do not subordinate it to rationality“. Besides, we have never before been aware that we are „Home by the Sea“ as we were at that moment of the initial spark.

Due to the enormous „density of events“ in connection with our project, we have placed the year 2020 under the motto „2020 Vision“. We believe this will be remembered for a long time!
