FINAL STEPS

After 2 months it is now time to give a sign of life again.

Almost 2 months have passed since our last blog entry. At that time we wrote that a buyer for our house in Southern France has been found. In the meantime, we have appointed a notary to safeguard our interests and have concluded a preliminary contract with the prospective buyers. Now we no longer have to go to France just to sign a purchase contract. The notary is fully authorised to do this.

Nevertheless, towards the end of August we were in our house for one week for the last time. We met with the buyers of the house to get to know each other personally and to discuss some details of the transaction. On this occasion we packed a few beloved items and said goodbye to friends.

On September 15th, the formal act of purchase will finally take place. A doubtlessly wonderful episode in our lives comes to an end and creates space for new challenges.
